The PLSO Fall Seminar will be held in Columbus, Ohio at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris on the north side. Daytime educational sessions will include sessions for surveying and engineering business professionals, updated information from ODOT, technical sessions, and more! Don’t miss your opportunity to earn 15 CPD hours in two days, while networking with old and new friends!  Remember, license renewal begins this fall with a deadline of Dec. 31!

Lodging:  Registrants are responsible for their own room arrangements.  The Hilton Columbus/Polaris, Columbus, OH (8700 Lyra Dr, Columbus, OH 43240) has offered a group rate of $149.00 for single/double room plus applicable taxes (currently 12.5%) for Wednesday – Thursday nights.    Contact the hotel directly for room arrangements at: 614-885-1600 and indicate you are with Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio Fall Conference to receive the group rate.   

NEW THIS YEAR!!!! A “Young Surveyors” track on Friday will include timely information for those interested in beginning or advancing their careers in the surveying profession with special sessions designed for the future and newly licensed!

Spring Ethics Workshop Announced

PLSO will offer a 2-hour Surveying Ethics CPD workshop on Friday, April 13 from 2 –4pm at the Columbus office (150 East Wilson Bridge Road, Lower Level Conference Room, Worthington, OH 43085).

Topic:        Surveying Ethics  (this session will satisfy the 2 hour ethics requirement!)

Speaker:             John Greenhalge, Exec Director, State Board of Registration

NGS Releases Blueprint for NATRF 2022

NGS has posted a document detailing the plans for NATRF 2022 project.

NCEES seeks input from surveyors

NCEES has extended the online survey for the Principles and Practice of Surveying exam content review to March 31, and has requested assistance from NSPS to find additional volunteers for this important study by sharing this news with NSPS members.

The information is posted online at http://ncees.org/ncees-seeks-professional-surveyors-expertise-advice/. A PDF of the news release is also available for download on this page. The survey will be used to update the specifications for the PS exam.

ODOT enables L2C

The ODOT CORS/VRS team has enabled the L2C signal on their CORS stations. This signal is now available to the ODOT VRS users to enhance their network corrections. Users who wish to use L2C may experience improved connectivity near tree canopy. As always, we ask that before you enable changes to your controller configurations you conduct tests to insure the results you are getting meet your accuracy expectations.
