ODOT enables L2C

The ODOT CORS/VRS team has enabled the L2C signal on their CORS stations. This signal is now available to the ODOT VRS users to enhance their network corrections. Users who wish to use L2C may experience improved connectivity near tree canopy. As always, we ask that before you enable changes to your controller configurations you conduct tests to insure the results you are getting meet your accuracy expectations.

STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS PASSES IN OHIO

PLSO is proud to announce that Ohio now has a clearly defined Statute of Limitations for claims of professional negligence against Professional Surveyors!  Through significant efforts of PLSO’s legislative advocates, Legislative Committee and officers, the organization was able to successfully insert the language into House Bill 483 – one of the bills dealing with mid-biennium budget issues recently considered by the Ohio legislature.  PLSO and the Legislative Committee wish to thank the members of the Southwestern and Cincinnati Chapters, Gary Nichols and Rose Coors, Thomas Schuck, Esq.,  Representative Louis Blessing III and especially Senator Bill Seitz for their efforts on this issue on behalf of PLSO and Ohio’s surveyors.
