Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Professional Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing maps and reports, and providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys using a variety of equipment and techniques, including GPS, robotic total stations, and levels.
- Analyze survey data and prepare accurate maps, plats, and legal descriptions.
- Research land records, including deeds, easements, and rights-of-way.
- Prepare legal descriptions, right of way plans, exhibits, and reports
- Provide expert testimony in court or at hearings regarding survey findings.
- Manage project budgets and timelines.
- Mentor and train junior survey staff.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordination with other department staff and clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field.
- Certified as a Right of Way Plan Designer with the Ohio Department of Transportation is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Bentley Open Roads Designer is a plus
- Professional Surveyor (PS) license in Ohio.
- 5+ years of experience as a Professional Surveyor.
- Proficiency with surveying software and equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
