2 year AS or 4 year BS in Land Surveying and/or CST
Lvl 3 Minimum 4 years field experience Valid Driver's License

As a Land Survey Crew Chief, your duties may include but are not limited to:
1. Field Work Coordination: Leading and supervising a team of surveying technicians or field crew members during land surveying operations. Assigning tasks, providing instructions, and ensuring efficient and accurate execution of survey work.
2. Survey Instrumentation: Setting up and operating surveying instruments and equipment, such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels. Calibrating and maintaining surveying equipment to ensure accurate measurements. Keeping company vehicles clean and orderly.
3. Boundary Surveys: Conducting boundary surveys to establish property lines, locate boundary markers, and resolve boundary disputes. This involves interpreting legal descriptions, researching property records, and applying surveying principles and techniques.
4. Topographic Surveys: Performing topographic surveys to map the natural and man-made features of a site. This includes measuring elevations, collecting data points, and creating contour maps.
5. Construction Layout: Assisting in the layout of structures, roads, utilities, and other features during the construction phase. Ensuring that measurements and stakes are accurately placed based on construction plans and specifications.
6. Data Collection and Documentation: Overseeing the collection of field data, measurements, and survey notes. Ensuring proper documentation of survey observations, including sketches, photographs, and field records.
7. Team Management: Supervising and training surveying technicians or field crew members. Providing guidance, mentoring, and support to develop their skills and knowledge in land surveying.
8. Quality Control: Conducting quality control checks to verify the accuracy and reliability of survey data collected. Reviewing survey measurements, calculations, and field notes to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
9. Health and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols during fieldwork. Identifying potential hazards, implementing safety measures, and promoting a safe working environment for the survey team.
10. Communication and Collaboration: Maintaining effective communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Providing progress updates, addressing project requirements, and collaborating with other professionals involved in the project.
