Young Surveyors Network
The Young Surveyors Network (YSN) connects and supports students and young professionals across Ohio who are involved in the land surveying industry. Our mission is to foster early-career engagement, professional growth, and community through networking, outreach, and educational opportunities.
YSN supports professional growth by encouraging leadership development, peer collaboration, mentorship, and exposure to the broader surveying community. A core focus of the network is outreach — to youth exploring future careers, students studying surveying, and early-career professionals — to promote awareness, engagement, and pride in the profession.
By creating meaningful opportunities for connection and development early in a surveyor’s career, YSN helps cultivate a strong, informed, and invested generation of professionals who will continue to contribute to and strengthen the surveying community for years to come.
To be eligible for membership in the Young Surveyors Network (YSN), individuals must meet the following requirements:
- Membership in the OSPS - All YSN members must hold current membership in Ohio Society of Professional Surveyors (OSPS) under one of the following categorie:
- Student Member
- Associate Member
- Professional Member
- Affiliate Member
- In addition to organizational membership, individuals must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Be 35 years of age or younger, OR
- Be currently studying land surveying or enrolled in land surveying courses at a college or university
